Gaskets with corrugated stainless steel core
The gasket comprises a corrugated stainless steel core with graphite layer on both sides. Layers and corrugation design are adjusted to ensure crest coverage of 0.1 to 0.2 mm when assembled thus achieving a very low cross-sectional diffusion due to highly compressed graphite in these areas.
Even under low seating stress high leak tightness is achieved (σ VU 0,01 = 15 MPa). The gasket further features a good compression and recovery rate, blow-out safety as well as good stability and handling properties.
Corrugated ring gaskets are advantageous at fluctuating pressures and temperatures, in angular flexible or misaligned flange connections and low-stress-to-seal applications.
The gaskets are made in the form of the circle, oval, extended oval and the rectangle.
