Teflon flat-ring gaskets

Flat-ring gaskets made of modified Teflon are high-quality gaskets designed especially for use in the chemical and food industries.
The gaskets have been tried-and-proven, proving their worth from environmental and health protection aspects as well as in excellent handling properties.
These gaskets are characterized in particular through their universal resistance to chemicals and solvents.
They feature excellent properties compared with non-modified Teflon such as considerably less deformation under load even at higher temperatures and less gas and vapour permeability due to their low-pore and homogeneous structure.

The gasket is additionally fitted with an inner and outer eyelet (in 1.4571 stainless steel) preventing extrusion or creep of the soft material along the flange gap.

Teflon flat-ring gaskets

The universal flat-ring gasket material allows pressure/temperature combinations, which exceed those for pure or fibre-reinforced Teflon.
The materials feature high recovery rates and high-level chemical resistance (resistance is limited slightly by the filler).
Even low seating stress achieves excellent sealing properties.

Flat-ring gasket of multi-directionally expanded Teflon

Flat-ring gaskets are made of virgin, expanded Teflon. A special manufacturing process results in a multi-directionally oriented fibrous structure, which provides the gasket with special properties. Teflon Flat-ring gaskets are characterised by extremely low cold-flow and high resistance to compressive creep even in the most adverse conditions.
